06 / Common questions

Details worth knowing before you submit.

What comes with a standard permit package?

For a qualifying project, the package includes plan design, normal corrections within scope, permit processing, applicable approved-plan pickup, engraved placard and warning labels, and overnight delivery of the completed materials.

Can we order drawings without permit running?

Yes. Design-only work starts at $200. We send the plan set for your team’s review and use in its own permit process.

Can you run a permit using plans we already have?

Yes. Permit running is available separately, starting at $75 per run. We confirm the submission scope and jurisdiction requirements first.

How are plan-check corrections handled?

For plans our team prepared, normal corrections and resubmittals within the agreed scope are coordinated. We do not revise drawings created by another designer.

Are utility or NEM applications in the $300 package?

No. Supported Southern California utility, NEM, and interconnection applications are priced separately, starting at $60.

How long does approval take?

Design turnaround and jurisdiction approval are separate. We confirm the expected design timing for your project; the authority’s review schedule varies by location and scope.

What can raise the quoted price?

System size, commercial or ground-mount work, batteries, service upgrades, engineering, specialty equipment, extra agency submissions, and revisions beyond the normal scope may add charges. We confirm these before work begins.

Can you help outside California?

Our engineering work supports projects nationwide. Share the location and scope so we can confirm permitting and utility application coverage for that jurisdiction.

Do earlier projects move to the new schedule?

No. The graduated schedule applies to new projects received October 16, 2026 onward, Pacific time. Previously received projects retain their prior agreed prices and issued invoices.

Ready for the next set of plans?

Send us the project. We will map the scope.

Whether you need one drawing package or ongoing contractor support, tell us what is on your plate and we will confirm the right service and price.
